  Abstract:  La double fonction du Christ dans le corps mystique. Saint Paul considère que le Christ remplit deux fonctions dans le corps mystique: l’une trancendante (de chef) et l’autre imanente (de source de vie). Parfois, il dit que notre vie est Christ, d’autre fois que c’est l’Esprit Saint. Le Christ est la tête de l’Église dans le sens qu’Il en est le souffle et la vie. Le corps est soumis à la tête, avant tout dans le sens que tous les mebres partagent sa vie; la participation à la mort et à la vie du Christ est universelle, vu que le don de la redemption est universel.
